Why Bondway's reusable biopsy needle brackets have received so high praise at home and abroad?
Many customers have praised the quality of BONDWAY's biopsy needle guide, but the secret behind is simple. Most of our competitor’s biopsy needle brackets (or needle guides for ultrasonic transducers) are made of regular 304 steel. However, BONDWAY is an exception-it abandons the commonly used stainless steel in the industry and uses 316L medical stainless steel for better performance.
Super corrosion resistant alloy with unique luster
316L stainless steel, commonly known as titanium steel, is a high-end stainless steel material, usually used in high-end watches, marine equipment, production equipment in the chemical industry, food industry, and facilities in coastal areas. Its outstanding corrosion resistance is comparable to precious metals.
Aesthetically, the 316L medical stainless steel is exceptionally glossy after being grinded
BONDWAY's biopsy needle guides looks attractively glossy. The secret behind it is that BONDWAY has higher requirements for the purity of the steel used. The raw steel need to be manually processed to remove impurities, and continue to be polished, refined until only the most "pure" part left in the middle below.
Strict production process
The manufacture of 316L medical stainless steel requires the highest standard. After the initial casting, this alloy will be melted again in a vacuum to remove all impurities, so as not to reduce the corrosion resistance and affect the grinding effect.
For every batch of 316L medical stainless steel from a supplier, BONDWAY must go through strict quality control by quality inspectors to check for any minor defects on the surface or inside. Only those of the steel that meets the specific requirements and strict standards will be used to manufacture the biopsy needle guide.
What Most of the people have known about 316L stainless steel may just stay at "more wear-resistant and durable", but not clear what is the difference between 316L medical stainless steel and 304 steel?
However it is clear that the use of 316L medical stainless steel will nearly double the cost.
So far, only BONDWAY has fully used 316L to produce biopsy needle guides among all of competitors at home and abroad. As a result, many people have doubts: What is advantages about 316L medical stainless steel?
Why did BONDWAY switch to 316L medical stainless steel instead of 304?
304 steel is the most common steel, widely used in daily necessities, food industry, etc. Due to its outstanding corrosion resistance, 316L medical stainless steel is very suitable for products that are in contact with the skin for a long time. It is mainly used in production equipment for highly corrosive substances, company industries, and coastal facilities.
The biggest difference between the two is whether the material contains molybdenum (Mo) metal. 316L medical stainless steel is added with 2~3% molybdenum, which greatly enhances its corrosion resistance, intragranular corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. In addition to the above, there are also differences in the ratio of nickel (Ni) and carbon content between the two.
316L stainless steel contains an average of 12% nickel, while 304 stainless steel only contains 9%. Nickel can improve the high temperature durability, mechanical properties, and oxidation resistance of the material.
In addition, 316L is an ultra-low carbon stainless steel with carbon content reduced to less than 0.03%, which can avoid intergranular corrosion and improve the acid and chlorine (Cl-) corrosion resistance of stainless steel.
"During surgery, the most common problem with the biopsy needle guide is wear and corrosion. 316L medical stainless steel is a better choice.
Why your competitors don’t use such good steel?
BONDWAY uses 316L medical stainless steel as the material of the biopsy needle guide. "Durable, anti-corrosion, and glossy" is one of the significant advantages of Biopsy needle guides that distinguish it from other suppliers. But the production cost of using 316L medical stainless steel is correspondingly higher, because 316L has a higher purchase cost, more difficult processing, larger grinding workload, and a substantial increase in production costs.
However, BONDWAY believes " Do it the best, or not do it at all"
Starting from customer needs, BONDWAY chose 316L medical stainless steel that is more durable, more corrosion resistant, and more difficult to rust, and is committed to providing customers with safe, reliable, and cost-effective metal biopsy needle bracket.
